Captain Bob "Punchy Powell. Punchy was a member of the 352nd Fighter Group during the Second World War.  He flew the P-47, P51 and is one of the few Americans to have flown the Spitfire and as a result is a member of the Spitfire Association.  Bob is currently the Historian of the 352nd.  Bob saw a lot of combat and flew 3 missions over the Normandy beaches on D-Day.  He also flew with Aces Major George Preddy and Colonel John C. Meyer. After the war he became good friends with German Generals Adolf Galland and Gunther Rall.  Sit back and listened to someone who lived the history we read about today.

Episode 5: Part 2 The Conclusion of a Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775. In this episode, Lord Percy retires toward Boston under heavy attack as thousands of American converge on him.  General Heath takes command of the American forces and the fate of the regulars hinges on a critical decision by Lord Percy.

Episode 5: Part 1 of a Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775. In this episode, Colonel Smith’s Expedition begins their fateful return march.  Militias from around the region converge on Smith.  The expedition falls under repeated and heavy attack. Lord Percy marches to Colonel Smith’s relief.

Episode 4: Part 2 of a Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775.  In this episode, Colonel Smith’s Expedition finally arrives in Concord 11 hours after the operation began, the search of Concord takes place and Militia Colonel Barrett leads the first American army to take the field against the regulars at North Bridge.

Episode 4 Part 1: Shot Heard Round the World

Episode 4: Part 1 of a Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775.  In this episode, Paul Revere is freed, Hancock and Adams flee, Colonel Smith and Major Pitcairn continue their advance on Concord and on the way encounter a challenge in the form of a small company of village militia.  A shot kicks off the Battle of Lexington and the start of the American War of Independence.

Part 3 of a 5 Part Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775.  In this episode the Regulars move out under command of Colonel Smith and Major Pitcairn and gets off to a bad start.  Gage dispatches Major Mitchell with a mounted patrol designed to keep word of the mission from reaching Concord.  Dr. Warren dispatches Paul Revere and Billy Dawes to warn Hancock and Adams the regulars were out.

Part 2 of a 5 Part Series focusing on the start of the American Revolution on April 19th 1775.  Gage attempts to keep an armed conflict from occurring by removing the Patriot's means to fight a war.  The Patriots position an arsenal for an army of some 15,000 at Concord... less than 25 miles from Boston and the regulars.  Gage receives "get tough" orders from London... and draws up plans to dispatch a large force and destroy the arsenal at Concord.
